  1. 1/2 cup butter, softened

  2. 3/4 cup sugar

  3. 2 eggs

  4. 1/2 cup sour cream

  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  6. 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  7. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  8. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  10. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  11. 3/4 cup chopped fresh strawberries

  12. 3/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted, divided

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix well. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; stir into creamed mixture just until moistened. Fold in strawberries and 1/2 cup nuts. Pour into a greased 8-in. x 4-in. loaf pan. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake at 350° for 65-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes; remove from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. Yield: 1 loaf.
