  1. lemon cake mix

  2. 1 cup almond paste

  3. 1 cup sugar

  1. M ix cake according to directions on package.

  2. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased 9x13 inch pan.

  3. Combine sugar and almond paste and chop until cornmeal consistency. Sprinkle half of it on cake batter in pan. Pour in remaining cake batter and top with rest of almond mixture.

  4. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes .
