  1. 2 cups sifted flour

  2. 1/2 cup milk

  3. 1/2 cup orange juice

  4. 1 Tablespoon baking powder

  5. 1/2 cup diced orange sections

  6. 1/4 cup sliced almond s

  7. 1/3 cup soft butter

  8. 4 egg s beaten

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl. While stirring constantly, gradually add the following ingredients in order: shortening, soft butter, beaten eggs, milk, and orange juice. Spoon batter in paper-lined muffin tins until they are ⅔ full. Top each with orange sections and almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes in a regular oven or about 17 minutes in a convection oven. Yields about 16 muffins.
