  1. 1 cup packed light brown sugar

  2. 2 tablespoons water

  3. 1/2 cup butter

  4. 2 tablespoons light corn syrup (Karo)

  5. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  6. 1 loaf challa bread cut into 3/4" cubes **

  7. 8 large egg s

  8. 1 1/2 cups of milk

  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  10. Raisons,dried cranberries and nuts(walnuts/pecans)

  1. Mix and melt brown sugar,butter,water cinnamon and syrup in a medium pan over a low heat,until dissolved. Add 1 tsp of vanilla last.Spray baking dish (33x23x5cm)with nonstick vegetable oil.Pour syrup/sugar mixture into baking dish;add raisons,cranberries and nuts.

  2. Mix eggs,milk 1 tsp vanilla.Arrange cubed bread on top of cranberries and nuts.Pour egg and milk mixture all over the bread.Press bread down firmly with your hand.Cover and refrigerate overnight.

  3. Next morning preheat oven to 350 degrees bake uncover for 30 minutes until golden brown.Serve upside down from baking dish.
