  1. Spicy Brisket over Noodles

  2. 2 1/2 pounds lean beef brisket

  3. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  4. 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  5. 1 onion, sliced

  6. 1 stalk celery, chopped

  7. 1 cup picante sauce

  8. 12 oz can beer

  9. 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  10. 3 tablespoons water

  11. Hot cooked noodles

  12. Trim visible fat from brisket. Combine beef, salt, pepper, onion,

  13. celery, picante sauce, and beer in slow cooker. Cover and cook on

  14. 7 to 9 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat and vegetables

  15. from cooker. Skim off any excess fat. Turn control to High. Dissolve

  16. cornstarch in water. Gradually add to liquid in cooker, stirring

  17. constantly. Cover and cook on High, stirring every 10 minutes,

  18. about 20 minutes, or until thickened. Cut meat into diagonal slices;

  19. arrange on noodles. Top with thickened sauce.
