->Orange Slice <-

1 cup butter

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon milk

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped pecans

1 pound orange slice candy, slice into 1/4-inch pieces

Preheat oven to 350F.

Cream the butter with the sugar and brown sugar with an electric

mixer. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Add the vanilla and milk, stir to blend.

Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt and add to sugar butter

mixture. Stir to combine.

When just blended, add pecans and candy, stir.

Drop the batter by rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet

and bake until the edges brown. Do not overbake.
