Christmas Cranberry Apple Pie

6 Golden Delicious Apples, cored, peeled and sliced

3 T butter

1/2 tsp. kosher salt

1/2 cup flour

1 1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup Ocean Spray cranberry juice

2 tsp. apple rum

3/4 cup craisins

2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. nutmeg few drops red food coloring, optional Crust: Make this twice for 4 pie crusts

2 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp. kosher salt

1 tsp. sugar

2 sticks butter

1 tsp. apple rum or apple flavoring Wrappings

2 qt. jars

2 decorative pie plates, you can find new ones all over, or find a really special vintage pie plate at an antique shop.

2 pieces of Christmas fabric or a large Christmas dishtowel. (I bought an inexpensive table cloth and cut it into 3 squares and hemmed the unfinished edges so it they were 36" square).

2 yards of wide ribbon to tie up fabric.
