  1. 1 1/2 Pounds ground beef, pork and 1 sm Onion, chopped (1/4 cup)

  2. 1 tb Worcestershire sauce

  3. 1 sm Green bell pepper, chopped

  4. 1 md Carrot, coarsely shredded

  5. 1 cn (4 ounces) mushroom stems

  6. and Pieces, drained and chopped 1 Tomato, thinly sliced

  7. or 1/8 ts Garlic powder

  8. 1 Cl Garlic, finely chopped,

  9. 1 Egg

  10. Turkey

  11. 1 c Milk

  12. 1 ts Chopped fresh or 1/4 ts Dried sage leaves

  13. 1 ts Salt

  14. 1/2ts Dry mustard

  15. 1/4ts Pepper

  16. 3 sl Bread, torn to small pieces*

  17. 3 sl Processed american cheese

  1. + Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix all ingredients except tomato and cheese.

  3. Spread mixture in loaf pan, 9 X 5 X 3 inches.

  4. Bake 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until done; drain.

  5. Arrange tomato down center of meat loaf.

  6. Top with cheese slices cut diagonally in half.

  7. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

  8. Remove from pan.

  9. SERVINGS; 375 CALORIES PER SERVING.

  10. *1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats can be substituted for the 3 slices bread.
