  1. POT ROAST WITH WINE

  2. 2 lbs corner topside

  3. oil for frying

  4. 1 lb whole small onions

  5. 1/2 cup water

  6. 1/4lb button mushrooms

  7. 1/2 cup red wine

  8. 15 oz can whole tomatoes

  9. salt and pepper to taste

  10. 1 tsp mixed herbs

  11. 1/4 cup flour

  12. 2 Tbs chopped parsley

  13. 1/4 cup water (extra)

  14. Heat oil in pan. Add meat and brown well on all sides. Place in

  15. crockpot. Add the whole onions to the pan and cook until golden

  16. brown, add the mushrooms to sweat for a few mins. Place in the

  17. crockpot with the meat. Add the undrained tomatoes, water, wine,

  18. salt and pepper and herbs.

  19. Cook on HIGH one hour, then turn to LOW for 6-8 hours. Remove meat

  20. from cooker and add the flour mixed with extra water,

  21. ? Cook on

  22. HIGH until gravy thickens. Stir in parsley. Slice meat and spoon

  23. gravy over.
