  1. 1 pt. (2 c.) milk

  2. 1 1/2 slices bread, crusts cut off

  3. 1/2 c. raisins, washed and soaked

  4. 10 minutes

  5. 1/4 c. sugar

  6. 2 eggs

  7. Nutmeg

  8. 1 tsp. vanilla

  1. Scald milk, then pour over bread and raisins. While cooling, beat 2 eggs together with 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Then add to previous mix in 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle nutmeg over top. Place pudding dish into larger dish with about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water in bottom. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour; if glass dish, bake at 325 degrees. Test with knife, if it comes out clean, all done!
