  1. 1/3 c Soy sauce

  2. 1 sm Green pepper, cut into Pineapple

  3. 8 1 x 1" cubes fresh

  4. Steak, cut 1" thick

  5. 1 1/2 lb Boneless beef top sirloin

  6. 1 ts Grated ginger root

  7. 2 cl Garlic,minced

  8. 1 tb Sherry extract

  9. 2 tb Water

  10. 2 tb Sugar

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients.

  2. Cut steak into 16 1" cubes;place in plastic bag.

  3. Pour marinade over beef,turning to coat.

  4. Tie bag securely and marinate in refrigerator 6 to 8 hours or overnight.

  5. Drain marinade into small saucepan.

  6. Cook slowly 5 minutes.

  7. Alternately thread 4 beef cubes,2 pineapple cubes and 2 green pepper pieces on each of 4 12" skewers.

  8. Place kabobs on grill over ash-covered coals so surface of meat is 3 to 4" from heat.

  9. Boil 15 to 20 minutes,depending on doneness desired (rare or medium),turning and brushing with marinade occasionally.

  10. Makes 4 servings.
