  3. 1/2c Mixed fresh citrus juice,

  5. Lime, grapefruit, and orange

  6. 1 ts Mixed grated citrus zest

  4. Heat 1 cup water and the sugar in small saucepan to boiling; boil 3 minutes, stirring to dissolve sugar.

  5. Remove from heat, add citrus juice and zest, and stir thoroughly.

  6. Pour citrus mixture into stainless-steel mixing bowl.

  7. Freeze until slushy, 30-45 minutes.

  8. Remove granita from freezer and beat, using hand-held electric mixer, to mix ice with liquid.

  9. Return to freezer and repeat freezing and beating 3 or 4 more times until frozen to tiny uniform ice shavings.
