  1. 18 rolls

  2. 120, fat-

  3. 1g, sodium-

  4. 135mg, carbohydrate-

  5. 25g, protein-

  6. 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour

  7. 1 tsp sugar

  8. 1 tsp salt

  9. 1 pkg (or 2 1/4 tsp) fast acting yeast

  10. 1 cup water

  11. 2 Tblsp reduced cal margarine or regular margarine (I use only real unsalted butter, so actual fat and sodium content may be slightly skewed)

  12. 2 egg whites

  13. 2 Tblsp apple juice

  14. 1/3 cup sugar or brown sugar

  15. 2 tsp cinnamon

  16. Note: this recipe can be halved VERY SUCCESSFULLY! Just remember to not only halve the ingredients list above, but pay attention to how the ingredients are added in the recipe--halve those amounts too!

  17. 1 cup of the flour,

  18. 1 tsp sugar, salt and yeast; blend well. In small saucepan, heat water and margarine until very warm (120-130 F). Add warm liquid and egg whites to flour mixture; Blend at low speed until moistened; beat

  19. 2 min at medium speed. By hand, stir in an additional

  20. 1-3/4 cups flour until dough pulls cleanly away from sides of bowl. On floured surface, knead in

  21. 3/4 cup until dough is smooth and elastic, about 5 min. Cover with large bowl and let rest

  22. 5 min. (I use this time to clean up)

  23. 2 8" or 9" square pans. On lightly floured surface, roll dough into 18"x

  24. 10"rectangle (I estimate 6x9 if the recipe is halved). Brush with apple juice. Combine

  25. 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on dough. Starting with

  26. 18" side, roll up tightly pressing edges to seal. Cut into 18 one inch slices and place cut side down into greased pans.. Cover and let rise in warm place (80-80 F) until light and doubled in size, about 30 min.

  27. 375 F. Uncover dough and bake

  28. 25-30 min or until light and golden brown. Drizzle warm rolls with glaze if desired (see recipe below).

  29. I didn't use the glaze and they were still very yummy!

  30. GLAZE:

  31. 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  32. 2-3 teaspoons skim milk

  33. Mix and drizzle over hot rolls.
