  1. 1 c Butter or margarine; soft

  2. 1 1/2 c Oatmeal; quick -OR-

  3. - Old fashioned, uncooked 1/2 c All-purpose flour

  4. 1 c Brown sugar; firmly packed

  5. 2 Eggs

  6. 1 c Walnuts; chopped

  7. 1 ts Vanilla

  8. 12 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips:

  9. 3 minutes at medium speed or until mixture is light and fluffy. Stir in

  10. 1 cup chocolate chips. Spread batter into 8" square microwave-safe baking dish; cover with wax paper. Cook on HIGH power

  11. 4 minutes; rotate dish

  12. 1/4 turn. Cook on HIGH power

  13. 4-5 minutes longer or until top of cakeappears dry and bottom is an even color. Sprinkle remaining

  14. 1 cup chocolate chips over top of warm cake. Let stand 10 minutes, then spread chocolate evenly over cake. Cool directly on counter top. Cut into serving pieces.
