  1. 1 Onion thinly sliced (medium)

  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml Oleo

  3. 3 tablespoons 45ml Flour

  4. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Red pepper

  5. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Chicken bouillon granules

  6. 1/2 cup 118ml Water

  7. 1/2 cup 118ml Skim milk

  8. 1/2 cup 118ml Shredded - (2 oz.) Monterey jack cheese

  9. 6 (1/2 in. Thick)

  10. Italian bread toasted

  11. 12 Turkey - (1/2 oz.)

  12. Breast

  13. 12 Tomato

  14. Freshly ground black

  15. Pepper

  1. Combine onion and oleo in 1 quart glass measure. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave at high 3 to 5 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring once.

  2. Remove onion, using a slotted spoon and set aside. Add flour and red pepper to oleo; stir well. Gradually add bouillon granules, water and milk, stirring well. Microwave uncovered at high 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes or until mixture is thickened, stirring every minutes add cheese to the mixture, stirring until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.

  3. Arrange bread slices in a single layer in a 12 x 8baking dish. Spoon 2 tb sauce over each slice; top each with 2 turkey slices and 2 tomato slices. Top with onion; spoon remaining sauce over tomatoes. Microwave, uncovered, at high 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with black pepper. Serve warm.
