  6. 4 lg Eggs seperated

  7. 2 c Sugar

  8. 1 c Butter,softened

  9. 3 c Flour

  10. 2 ts Baking powder

  11. 1 c Milk

  12. 2 ts Grated lemon peel

  13. 1 tb Lemon juice

  14. 1 tb Vanilla

  15. --glaze--

  16. 1/3 c Sugar

  17. 1/3 c Lemon juice

  18. 1 tb Grated lemon peel

  19. Fresh berries

  20. Heat oven to 350. Beat egg whites at high speed,

  21. scrapping bowl often, just until stiff peaks form, 2-3

  22. minutes. Set aside

  23. Combine the 2 cups sugar and the butter, beat at

  24. medium speed until creamy. Add egg yolks, continue

  25. beating until creamy.

  26. mix together the flour and baking powder, reduce speed

  27. to low, beat gradually adding flour mixture

  28. alternatley with milk to butter mixture, until well

  29. blended. Add lemon peel, lemon juice and vanilla.

  30. Continue beating until well mixed. By hand gently

  31. fold in the egg whites

  32. Pour batter into greased and floured 12 cup bundt or 10 inch tube pan. Bake for 50-65 minutes or until

  33. toothpick inserted in center comes out clean

  34. glaze

  35. IN 1 quart saucepan stir together all glaze

  36. ingredients except berries. Cook over medium heat,

  37. stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved about 3-4 minutes. with tooth pick poke holes in top of

  38. cake; pour glaze over cake. Cool 15 minutes, remove

  39. from pan. Serve with fresh berries.
