  2. 1/3 cup oil

  3. 1/4 cup sugar

  4. 1/4 cup white vinegar

  5. 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

  6. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  7. 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

  8. Dash pepper

  9. Salad:

  10. 1/2 cup slivered almonds

  11. 3 tablespoons sugar

  12. 4 cups torn lettuce

  13. 4 cups torn spinach leaves

  14. 1 cup sliced celery

  15. 1/2 cup sliced green onions

  16. 1 (11-oz.) can mandarin orange segments,

  1. In jar with tight-fitting lid, combine all dressing ingredients; shake well. Refrigerate1 hour to blend flavors.

  2. In a heavy skillet, cook almonds and sugar over medium-low heat until sugar melts and coats almonds, stirring frequently. Pour onto foil; cool. Break sugarcoated almonds apart if necessary. In large bowl, combine remaining salad ingredients except orange segments; toss gently. Pour dressing over salad; toss to combine
