  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Fresh ripe pears - chopped

  2. 1 Lemon rind - grated

  3. 1 Orange rind - grated

  4. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Mixed dried fruit

  5. 4 oz 113g Candied peel

  6. 4 oz 113g Glace cherries

  7. 4 oz 113g Dates - chopped

  8. 2 oz 56g Flaked almonds

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Allspice

  10. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Nutmeg

  11. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Powdered ginger

  12. 4 tablespoons 60ml Whisky or other liquid

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and let stand for 1 to 2 hours.

  2. Store in air-tight jars. Use as regular mincemeat.
