All-American Whiskey Sour

    1. 1 1/2 oz Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky

    2. 3 1/2 oz. fresh Sweet and Sour Mix

    3. 3 1/2 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice

    4. 1 quart water

    5. 1 quart fresh lime juice (lemon juice can be substituted to taste)

    6. 1 1/2 cup sugar

    7. 1/2 egg white (optional, gives a great frothiness to any shaken drink)

    1. Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for five seconds. Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice. Garnish with an orange and cherry "flag". Sweet and Sour Mix: Stir ingredients together until sugar is fully dissolved.
