  1. 3 T butter

  2. 1/2 c chopped onion

  3. 1/2 c chopped green pepper

  4. 1/2 t dried basil

  5. 1 can (10 3/4 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  6. 1 can (4 oz) mushroom pieces, undrained

  7. 1/2 c milk

  8. 12 oz wide egg noodles

  9. 1 1/2 c small curd cottage cheese

  10. 4 cans tuna, drained

  11. 4 oz sliced chedar cheese

  1. Heat butter in skillet over medium flame. Add onion, green pepper, and basil. Cook, stirring often, till tender. Stir in soup, mushroom plus their liquid, and milk. Meanwhile, cook noodles in lots of boiling water. Drain.

  2. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x13 dish. Place the noodles in the dish. Dot with half the cottage cheese and half the tuna. Place half the cheese slices over the tuna. Repeat layers. Spread soup-veggie mix over the top.

  3. Bake 45-55 minutes.
