  1. 1 lb ground beef

  2. 1 can condensed vegetable beef with barley soup.

  3. 1 egg

  4. 1/2 to 1 Cup oat meal (left over rice works well also. If you have left over Spanish rice that turns out very good)

  5. 1/4 -1/2 Cup left over vegetables corn , green beans whatever you like

  6. 1/2 Cup catsup

  7. 1/4 cup sauteed onion

  8. 1/2 package meat loaf seasoning

  9. 1/2 Cup fresh or dried bread crumbs (if needed)

  1. sautéed onion Mix all ingredients except the Catsup or chili sauce or BBQ sauce you should have a nice firm loaf if not add more rice, oat meal, or bread crumbs.

  2. Form into a loaf pan or if it has grown enough a baking pan I make a trough on top of the meat loaf and after it is cooked then slather the Catsup on top.

  3. Cover with aluminum foil Cook at 375 for 45 minutes or until done Uncover slather the Catsup on top Cook an additional 5-10 at 425 this worms up the topping and gives it a nice little crunch to the outside.

  4. Makes a great sandwich after it is cold.
