  1. 5 bacon slices, diced

  2. 5-6 green onion s, chopped

  3. 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  4. 2 cups roasted corn (about 4 ears)

  5. 1 pound cooked,diced potato es

  6. 2 tbsp flour

  7. 1 8oz. bottle clam juice

  8. 1/2 cup water

  9. 4-5 cans chopped clams, drain and reserve juice

  10. 2 tsp dried thyme leaves

  11. 1 cup milk

  12. 1 cup heavy cream

  1. Cook bacon in a 5-quart heavy pot over medium heat, stirring, until slightly browned but not crisp. add green onions, corn, and clams to bacon along with 1 tablespoon butter. continue to cook, stirring, about 2 minutes. sprinkle flour over mixture and stir to combine. Cook for about 4 more minutes. Add clam juice and water and bring to a boil while stirring. Reduce heat and add milk, cream, potatoes thyme and remaining tablespoon butter. Cook, stirring, until heated through (do not let boil). Season with salt and pepper.
