  1. 1 cup(s) cranberry-juice cocktail

  2. 1/4 cup(s) sugar

  3. 1 package(s) (12-ounce) fresh or frozen cranberries , rinsed and drained 5 cup(s) (about 2 ounces) dried cranberries

  4. 2 tablespoon(s) honey

  5. 1 tablespoon(s) lemon zest

  6. 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground allspice

  1. Make the sauce: In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, cook the cranberry-juice cocktail and sugar, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Add fresh and dried cranberries and cook until fresh berries pop and dried cranberries begin to plump -- 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in honey, zest, and allspice.

  3. Cool the sauce completely and transfer to a serving bowl or jar. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve alongside roasted turkey.
