  1. 2c Milk

  2. 2 Sticks Butter

  3. Add Raisins or Candied Fruit If Desired

  4. 1 cup Sugar

  5. 1 Tsp. Salt

  6. 4 Beaten Eggs

  7. 1 Tsp. Vanilla

  8. 2 pkg Yeast

  9. 8 cups Flour

  1. Melt altogether, but don't boil. Dissolve the yeast in 1/2c. warm water, let yeast foam a little. Add to above mixture, flour 1, to 2 cups at a time, mix well, add raisins or candied fruit if desired. Mix well. Grease with oil, cover with towel and let raise till double in size about 1hr.

  2. Punch down and beat with a wooden spoon to remove air bubbles. Divide dough let rise again, about 1/2 hr..

  3. Put in greased loaf pans. Should be divided into 4 loaves.

  4. Let raise some.(cover with towel)

  5. bake at 350, about 1/2 hour.

  6. Topping For Bread; Mix together 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 cflour, 1/4c. butter, sprinkle over each loaf, Watch topping dosen;t brown too much
