  2. RAISIN-CINNAMON DOUGHNUT

  7. 2 c FLOUR, SIFTED

  8. 1 tb BAKING POWDER

  9. 1 t SALT

  10. 1/4 ts CINNAMON

  11. 1/3 c SHORTENING

  12. 3/4 c MILK

  13. 2/3 c RAISINS, CHOPPED

  14. 1/2 c BUTTER, MELTED

  15. 1/4 c SUGAR

  16. 2 ts CINNAMON

  17. Sift togther all dry ingredients. Cut in shortening

  18. with pastry cutter or two knives. Mixture should look

  19. like small bowls. Stir in milk and raisins. Turn

  20. onto lightly floured board. Roll out to 1/2 Cut into rounds with floured doughnut cutter. Arrange doughnuts

  21. on cookie sheets. Brush with melted butter. Bake 12

  22. minutes in a 425F oven. Brush again with melted

  23. 1/4 c sugar and 2 t cinnamon to make

  24. cinnamon sugar. Makes 1 dozen. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
