  1. 1 cup butter, softened

  2. 2 tablespoons minced fresh tarragon or 2 teaspoons dried tarragon

  3. 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

  4. 1 teaspoon minced chives

  5. 1 garlic clove, minced Dash pepper

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Store in refrigerator. Yield: 1 cup. Editor's Note: Spread butter on French bread before toasting, season cooked vegetables with it or use when cooking fish.
