  1. 1 - 15 oz. can pumpkin puree

  2. 1 - 12 oz can evaporated milk

  3. 3 eggs

  4. 1 cup white sugar

  5. 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

  6. 1 - 18 1/4 oz package yellow cake mix

  7. 3/4 cup butter , melted

  8. 1 &

  9. 1/2 cups chopped walnuts (or pecans would work too)

  10. For glaze:

  11. 1 - 3 oz package cream cheese - softened

  12. 3 tblspns maple syrup

  13. 2 tblspns powdered sugar

  14. 2 tblspns water

  1. Preheat oven to 350 (F) & grease a 9x13 baking pan.

  2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar and spice.

  3. Mix well, and pour into the greased baking pan.

  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top, then drizzle with the melted butter.

  5. Top with the walnuts (or pecans).

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

  7. To make glaze:

  8. Put cream cheese in small saucepan and melt over medium-low heat.

  9. Once the cream cheese is almost completely melted, add the remaining ingredients. Cook for 2-3 minutes whisking constantly to combine everything.

  10. Drizzle glaze over the top of the cake after removing from the oven.
