  1. 8 oz bulk Italian sausage

  2. 1/2 cup chopped peeled potato

  3. 2 cloves garlic , minced

  4. 1/2 of a 10 oz package frozen spinach , thawed and well drained

  5. 1 8 oz can pizza sause

  6. 2 tbsp sun-dried tomato es, drained

  7. 1 16 oz loaf frozen bread dough, thawed

  8. 1 tsp olive oil

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°. For filling: in a large skillet, cook sausage, potato and garlic over medium heat until sausage is brown and potatoes are tender. Drain off fat. Stir in spinach, ⅓ cup of pizza sauce, and sun-dried tomatoes. Set aside. Lightly flour surface, roll dough into a 12x9 inch rectangle, stopping occasionally to leg dough relax a few minutes for easier rolling. Spread the filling over dough, leaving about an inch border. Starting from the short side, roll up dough into a spiral. Moisten edge and ends; pinch seams to seal. Transfer loaf to a lightly greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise in a warm place until nearly double (30-45 minutes). Lightly brush loaf with oil. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack; cool about 30 minutes before cutting. Serve remaining pizza sauce for dipping.
