  5. 3 tb Olive Oil

  6. 1 c Chopped Onion

  7. 1 Clove Garlic

  8. 1 lb Ground Beef

  9. 2 ts Salt

  10. 28 oz Tomatoes, canned

  11. 8 oz Tomato Sauce

  12. 6 oz Tomato Paste

  13. 3/4 c Water

  14. 1/2 ts Basil

  15. 1/2 ts Oregano

  16. 1 ts Sugar

  17. 1 tb Dried Parsley

  18. 1 lb Lasagna Noodles

  19. 1 lb Cottage Cheese

  20. 2 Eggs

  21. 1 lb Mozzarella Cheese

  22. 1 c Grated Parmesan or R

  23. Cheese or a mixture

  24. Heat the oil in a large heavy sauce pan. Saute onions

  25. and garlic for 5 minutes.

  26. Stir in ground beef, cook over medium heat for until

  27. browned.

  28. Add salt, tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water,

  29. basil, oregano, sugar and parsley. Bring to a boil

  30. and simmer for 45 minutes.

  31. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.

  32. Add a tablespoon oil while cooking to prevent

  33. sticking. Drain, rinse and cool.

  34. Blend cottage cheese & egg in bowl. Preheat oven to

  35. 375 degrees. Grease a

  36. 13 x 9 1/2 x 3 inch baking pan.

  37. Arrange alternate layers of sauce, lasagna, cottage

  38. cheese/egg mixture mozzarella, finishing with sauce.

  39. Sprinkle with parmesan or romano cheese.

  40. 35 minutes at

  41. 375 degrees (F). Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. NOTE: For the lazy mans'

  42. alternative, use uncooked noodles and add 1/ 3/4 cup
