  5. 1 pk (8 3/4 oz) soba noodles

  6. 1 sm Carrot

  7. 1 sm Daikon

  8. -- shredded in long strands

  9. 6 Leaves romaine lettuce

  10. 6 Leaves red leaf lettuce

  11. -- torn

  12. 1 Red bell pepper; sliced

  13. 1 Yellow bell pepper; sliced

  14. 1/2 pk (8 oz size) fried tofu

  15. -- sliced 1 cn (8 oz) water chestnuts

  16. -- sliced 1 cn Mandarin orange wedges

  17. -- (11 oz), drained 1 cn (20 oz) lychees; drained

  18. -- and cut into quarters 1/4 c Toasted sesame seed

  19. 1/2 c Brown sugar

  20. 1 ts Salt

  21. 1 ts Pepper

  22. 1/4 c Salad oil

  23. 1/2 c Lime juice

  24. 6 tb Mirin

  25. 1 c Rice vinegar

  26. 1/2 c Tamari (or shoyu)

  27. 4 ts Sesame oil

  28. Cook soba noodles according to package directions, rinse, drain and cool. In a large bowl, toss noodles with carrot and daikon. Put

  29. lettuce on large serving platter. Top with noodle mixture, peppers,

  30. tofu, water chestnuts, mandarin oranges, and lychees. Chill until

  31. ready to serve. To make dressing, combine the remaining ingredients;

  32. 10 to 12 servings.
