  3. 2 teaspoons 10ml Curry powder

  4. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Ground chicken or turkey

  5. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Egg - lightly beaten (small)

  6. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Fresh bread crumbs

  7. 1/4 cup 59ml Grated peeled Granny Smith apple

  8. 1/4 cup 36g / 1 1/3oz Chopped mango chutney

  9. 2 Scallions - thinly sliced Salt - to taste Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

  10. 4 Toasted hamburger buns Garnish Mayonnaise - Carrot Salad Topper - (see recipe)

  1. Recipe Instructions Place the oil and chopped onion in a skillet over medium-low heat; cook, stirring, for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to low, add the curry and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Remove to a bowl and cool. Combine with all of the remaining ingredients except the buns and garnishes. Form the mixture into 4 patties (about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick). Prepare coals for grilling. Brush the grill with vegetable oil. Cook the burgers over medium heat for 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Serve on the buns, spread with mayonnaise, if desired. Top each burger with 2 tablespoons Carrot Salad Topper. This recipe yields 4 servings. Per serving (without garnishes): 470 calories, 41g carbohydrates, 27g protein, 21g fat, 130mg cholesterol.
