  1. DUTCH-STYLE STRAWBERRY RHUBARB PIE

  2. pastry for single crust pie (or double if lattice top if desired)

  3. 1 1/2 cups sliced raw rhubarb

  4. 2 cup sliced fresh strawberries

  5. 1 cup sugar

  6. 5 Tbsp. flour

  7. 4 tsp. cornstarch

  8. 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

  9. 2/3 cup undiluted evaporated milk

  10. Mix rhubarb and strawberries and place in pie shell. In medium

  11. mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cornstarch and nutmeg. Gradually

  12. add evaporated milk, stirring to mix well. Pour over fruit in

  13. 400 degrees for 25 minutes; then reduce heat to

  14. degrees and bake about 35 minutes more.
