  1. 2 (about 2 pounds) chicken drumsticks

  2. 1 cup(s) mayonnaise

  3. 6 tablespoon(s) yellow mustard

  4. 2 teaspoon(s) yellow mustard

  5. 2 lemons , zest and juice

  6. 1 1/2 cup(s) Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs

  7. Salt

  8. Pepper

  1. Using a sharp knife, cut the meat away from the end of each drumstick so the bone is exposed. Place drumsticks in a large resealable plastic bag. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 6 tablespoons mustard, and lemon zest. Spoon mixture into bag, seal, and marinate for at least 6 hours or up to overnight.

  2. Meanwhile, prepare lemon dipping sauce: In a small bowl, mix together remaining mayonnaise and mustard, plus lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a shallow dish, mix breadcrumbs with 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Remove 1 drumstick from bag and shake off excess marinade. Dredge drumstick in breadcrumbs until coated and transfer to a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Repeat with remaining drumsticks. Bake until golden brown and cooked through, 45 to 50 minutes. Serve with lemon dipping sauce on the side.
