  2. 8 oz 227g Semisweet baking chocolate

  3. 1/3 cup 65g / 2 1/3oz Butter or margarine

  4. 1 1/4 cups 78g / 2.8oz All-purpose flour

  5. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Sugar

  6. 2 tablespoons 30ml Amaretto

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Baking powder

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  9. 2 Eggs Amaretto Frosting AMARETTO FROSTING

  10. 2 cups 396g / 13oz Powdered sugar

  11. 3 tablespoons 45ml Butter or margarine - softened

  12. 1 tablespoon 15ml Amaretto

  13. 1 tablespoon 15ml Milk (1 - 2 tablespoons)

  1. Recipe Instructions Heat oven to 350º. Grease rectangular pan, 13 × 9 × 2 inches. Place 1/3 cup of the almonds in food processor. Cover and process, using quick on-and-off motions, until almonds are ground; set aside. Chop remaining 1/3 cup almonds; reserve. Melt chocolate and butter in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently; remove from heat. Stir in ground almonds and remaining ingredients except Amaretto Frosting. Spread in pan. Bake 22 to 27 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Prepare Amaretto Frosting. Spread on brownies. Sprinkle with reserved chopped almonds. Cut into about 3 × 1-inch bars. AMARETTO FROSTING: Mix all ingredients until smooth.
