  5. 2 c Vanilla Wafer Crumbs

  6. 16 oz Cream Cheese, Softened

  7. 6 T Margarine, Melted

  8. 1/2 c Sugar

  9. 14 oz Carmels ( 1 bag)

  10. 1 t Vanilla

  11. 5 oz (1 cn) Evaporated Milk

  12. 2 ea Large Eggs

  13. 1 c Chopped Pecans, Toasted

  14. 1/2 c Semi-sweet Chocolate

  15. Chips

  16. Chocolate chips should be melted.

  18. Combine crumbs and margarine, press onto bottom and sides of 9-inch spring-

  19. 10 minutes. In

  20. 1 1/2-quart heavy

  21. saucepan, melt carmels with milk over low heat, stirring frequently, until

  22. smooth. Pour over crust. Top with pecans. Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanila, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add

  23. eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in chocolate,

  24. 350 degrees F.,

  25. 40 minutes. Loosen cake from rim

  26. of pan; cool before removing rim of pan. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream,

  27. additional chopped nuts and maraschino cherries, if desired. --
