  1. 3 lbs 1362g / 48oz Cabbage head - shredded

  2. 1/2 Green pepper - chopped

  3. 1/2 cup 55g / 1.9oz Carrot - shredded

  4. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Onion - chopped (small)

  5. Dressing

  6. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Sugar

  7. 1 cup 237ml Vinegar

  8. 1/4 cup 59ml Water

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  10. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Celery seed

  11. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Mustard seed

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Let stand 1 hour. Drain.

  2. Bring all dressing ingredients to a boil; simmer 2-3 minutes. Cool.

  3. Pour over cabbage. Pack in freezer containers; freeze.

  4. Yield: about 4 pints.
