  2. 3 1/2 cups boiling water

  3. 2 cubes chicken bouillon cubes

  4. 16 ounces tomatoes

  5. 1/2 cup onion -- chopped

  6. 1/2 cup carrot -- thinly sliced

  7. 1/2 cup celery -- diagonally sliced

  8. 1/2 cup green pepper -- coarsely, chopped

  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  10. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  11. 1/2 teaspoon sage -- crushed dried

  12. 1/2 teaspoon pepper sauce -- hot

  1. Combine all ingredients in a 3 to 4-qt pot. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve bouillion cubes. Cover and simmer gently for 1 hour. Stir occasionally to break up tomatoes into bite sized pieces.
