  1. 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell (deep dish)

  2. 1 (4 oz.) pkg. German chocolate (sweet)

  3. 1/4 c. butter

  4. 1 (12 oz.) evaporated milk

  5. 1 1/2 c. sugar

  6. 3 tbsp. cornstarch

  7. 1/8 tsp. salt

  8. 2 eggs

  9. 1 tsp. vanilla

  10. 1 1/2 c. coconut

  11. 1 c. chopped pecans

  1. Melt chocolate and butter over low heat; remove from heat, blend in milk, set aside.

  2. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt together. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Blend in chocolate mixture. Pour into pie shell, combine coconut and nuts. Sprinkle top of chocolate mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Yield: 1 pie.
