  1. 1 egg

  2. 125ml cola-flavoured fizzy drink, divided

  3. 35g Doriano Italian crackers, crushed

  4. 6 tablespoons French salad dressing, divided

  5. 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  6. 675g minced beef

  1. Preheat a barbecue for high heat. When the barbecue is hot, lightly oil the cooking grate.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the egg, 1/2 of the cola, crackers, 2 tablespoons French dressing and Parmesan cheese. Crumble in the minced beef and mix well. Form into 6 balls and pat into 1.75cm thick burgers. Pour the remaining cola and dressing into a small bowl. Mix well.

  3. Grill burgers for about 3 minutes per side. Brush with the dressing and cola, then barbecue for 8 to 10 more minutes, basting occasionally.
