  1. 4 Potatoes - (to 6) (large)

  2. Olive oil - as needed

  3. Salt - to taste

  4. Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

  5. Butter - for serving

  1. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise. Then brush them with olive oil and sprinkle them lightly with salt.

  2. Place them directly on the grill, turning them occasionally, for about 1 1/2 hours or until golden brown (they should easily pierce with a fork).

  3. Serve with butter, salt and pepper.

  4. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
