  2. 16 ounces macaroni

  3. 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced

  4. 1 tablespoon butter

  5. Salt and pepper to taste

  6. 12 ounces evaporated milk

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a rapid boil.

  3. Add macaroni and boil for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

  4. Drain pasta and layer half in a large casserole dish.

  5. Top with 1/2 of cheese, evenly distributed over macaroni.

  6. Add drops of butter and repeat layers.

  7. Pour milk over the final layer of cheese.

  8. Bake for one hour.
