  1. 1 cup walnut halves (about 3 1/2 ounces)

  2. 2 tbsp light corn syrup

  3. 1 tbsp sugar

  4. 1/2 tsp salt

  5. 1/4 tsp ground black pepper Pinch of cayenne pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray. Combine walnuts and all remaining ingredients in medium bowl; toss to coat. Spread nut mixture on prepared baking sheet, trying not to allow them to clump together. Bake until nuts are deep golden and sugar mixture is bubbling. Stir the mixture about every 5 minutes to break up clumps. Bake for about about 15-20 minutes. After removing from oven, separate nuts so they aren’t clumped. Cool completely on baking sheet. Can be made 3 days ahead. Store in airtight container.
