  1. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Red cabbage

  2. 3 cups 711ml Boiling water

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Salt

  4. 4 tablespoons 60ml Salad or olive oil

  5. 1/3 cup 78ml Lemon juice

  6. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Pepper

  7. 2 teaspoons 10ml Sugar

  8. 4 tablespoons 60ml Minced onion

  9. 1/2 cup 118ml Grated apple

  1. Recipe Instructions Shred the cabbage and combine with the boiling water and salt. Let stand 10 minutes. Drain. Mix the oil, lemon juice, pepper and sugar together. Add to the cabbage with the onion and apple. Toss until well mixed. Chill for 1/2 hour before serving. Serves 6 to 8.
