  1. 1 box Barilla Whole Grain Penne

  2. 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, divided

  3. 1 clove garlic

  4. 1 teaspoon fresh thyme

  5. 2 packages assorted wild mushrooms To taste salt and black pepper

  6. 1/2 cup heavy cream

  7. 2 tablespoon butter

  8. 4 tablespoons Parmigiano

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Heat a medium sized skillet to medium-high heat. Add half of the oil to the pan and allow to heat through. Using the side of a knife gently press garlic. Add garlic and sauté until slightly brown, about one minute. Add mushrooms, thyme, and season with salt and pepper. Sauté until the mushrooms are thoroughly cooked and lightly browned. Reduce heat to medium. Add cream, reduce until slightly thickened. Remove garlic. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Add pasta to skillet with sauce and toss. Finish with butter, oil, and cheese before serving.
