  1. 6 cooking apple s, skinned, cored and cut into chunks 2 T. brown sugar

  2. cinnamon

  1. Cook apple chunks in a crueset pan and place enough water in the pan to cover the bottom. Bring to a boil then simmer until apple chunks are soft and water has evaporated.

  2. Mash apples coarsely and stir in sugar and cinnamon to taste. Serve hot or cold.
