Banana Strawberry Parfait Pie

9-inch pie shell. Heat

1 1/4 cups water to boiling in 2-quart saucepan; remove from heat. Add

1 package of strawberry jello; stir until dissolved. Add

1 pint vanilla ice cream, cut into pieces, to hot liquid; stir immediately until melted. Chill until mixture is thickened, but NOT set,

15-20 minutes.

Fold in 1 cup sliced bananas. Turn into cooled baked pie shell. Chill until firm (approximately 10-15 minutes). Top with whipped cream, if desired. Top with strawberries, if desired.
