  1. 1 1/2 pounds ground beef

  2. 1 onion -- chopped

  3. 3 cans 14 1/2 oz. each 1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes -- undrained

  4. 1 16 oz. pkg. frozen peas and carrots

  5. 1 teaspoon black pepper

  1. Preparation : In a soup pot, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is brown and onion is tender, stirring occasionally; drain. Add broth, tomatoes, peas and carrots, and black pepper; mix well. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
