  1. 1 3/4 Cups Sifted Swans Down Cake Flour

  2. 2 1/4 Teaspoons Baking Powder

  3. 3/4 Teaspoon Salt

  4. 1/2 Cup Butter Or Margarine

  5. 1 Cup Sugar

  6. 2 Tablespoons

  7. 2 Eggs

  8. 2/3 Cup Milk

  9. 1 Teaspoon Vanilla

  10. 2/3 Cup Baker's Fine Grated Or Angel Flake Coconut

  11. Measure sifted flour, baking powder, and salt, sift together.

  12. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar; cream until light and fluffy.

  13. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  14. Alternately add flour mixture and milk, beating after each addition until smooth.

  15. Stir in vanilla and coconut.

  16. Pour batter into two 8 inch layer pans, lined on bottom with wax paper.

  17. 30 to 35 minutes.
