  1. 3 tlbsp. softened butter

  2. 1/2 cup cocoa

  3. 1/3 cup milk

  4. 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

  5. dash of salt

  6. 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar

  1. Combine butter and cocoa mixing well. Add milk and vanilla and beat. The mixture will be lumpy. Add powdered sugar in stages, may not need all 3½ cups. When adding the powdered sugar the icing, will be runny and may have lumps in it. Keep adding the sugar and beating. There may be small specks of cocoa, but the mixing should take care of that. Beat until you get the consistency you need. If icing is to stiff, add a little milk.
