  1. 2 Large Garlic Cloves , minced

  2. 1 1/2 tsp Grated Peeled Fresh Ginger , minced

  3. 3/4 tsp Kosher Salt

  4. 3/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon

  5. 1 tsp Ground Coriander

  6. 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

  7. 1 tsp Ground Cumin

  8. 2 tsp Canola or Vegetable Oil

  9. 1 1/2 lb Flank Steak , trimmed

  1. Mix first 8 ingredients in a small bowl to form a paste. Pat steak dry, rub paste all over, and marinate steak, covered and chilled, at least 7-8 hours. Prepare grill for cooking. Bring steak to room temperature. Grill steak on a lightly oiled grill rack 5 minutes on first side, turn and grill 3 minutes on second side for medium rare. Transfer steak to a cutting board and let rest 10 minutes. May be covered with foil or not. Holding knife at a 45-degree angle, cut steak across grain into thin slices.
